Overview

Amish Post Mission Panel Bed

Barkman Furniture Collection

DutchCrafters Amish Mission Bed is an authentic reproduction of Mission furniture.  Mission furniture thrived in the 20th century as people were attracted to the simple furniture design.  This Amish Mission bed has beautiful inset panels with book-matched grain technique, classic bow tie inlays and mortise and tenon joinery.  Quarter sawn white oak wood is the most popular choice for this Amish Mission bed.

Book matching of the wood grains is not something that you will find in most furniture stores.  This type of craftsmanship and detail indicated the highest of quality furniture.  You often find this used in fine musical instruments such as violins.  When two pieces of wood are matched together you get the appearance of a mirror image.

This queen bed is shown in quarter sawn white oak wood with a Michaels Cherry OCS 113 stain.
